RENNtech Smart 7.22
After getting 750 hp from the SLR McLaren RENNtech decided to play a little bit with the Smart and launched the RENNtech Smart 7.22. The RENNtech Smart 7.22 is powered by two 1000cc, 3 cylinder. Smart engines, each coupled with a 5-speed, automated transmission.
The fun part is just beginning. The RENNtech engineers have removed the Smart’s rev limiter and installed their own which tops at an amazing 13,200 rpm. The RENNtech Smart 7.22 has its torque curve re-tuned to mach the one on the Triumph Speed Triple motorcycle.
Each of the RENNtech Smart 7.22’s engine now delivers 91 hp which adds up to a total of 182 hp.
The RENNtech Smart 7.22 has a top speed of 138 mph and a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of just 5.1 seconds.
